LIFE OF A PLANNER IN KARVY
Life here in KFP is not which some one can really note down. Every day has its own share of challenges laced with fun and entertainment!
A typical financial planner in KARVY begins his day attending an early morning (09:00 hrs) equity and derivative conference call. This lasts for 20 minutes. After the conference call, he returns to his seat and check his mails and responds to them. This could take more than an hour. We at KARVY believe that our clients are our main strength and addressing their queries patiently and with great detail is equally important.
By around 10:30 hrs (with a cup of steamy creamy coffee) he takes stock of the market happenings both in the cash and F&O fronts and gather pertinent information. He then follows up a few of his clients and discusses their issues and updates them on the trends in the capital market and investments pertaining to his needs. KARVYITE working on relationship management. you see!!!
At around 11:30 hrs the planners takes stock of the client's portfolio and examines the profitability of the same with respect to the changes in the market dynamics. He then checks for priority issues and makes necessary changes with the clients' approval. This takes a while.
Around 13:15 hrs, LUNCH TIME (and also gossip time, lots of them.) !
From 14:00 hrs onward the time is spent making fresh financial plans for the new customers who have been acquired. After several reviews, checks, discussions and debates the plans are formulated. This is the most interesting and important work, which needs most of our concentration.Serious business till around 16:30 hrs.
A break around this time for 15 mins.
17:00 hrs back to work! Though this is mostly outside office! This is the time to keep appointments with clients on any issues as the case may be. In case of a dull day with no appointments, the planner spends the rest of the time trying to complete the financial plan.
Despite intense pressure of deadlines, every financial planner at KARVY lives by the adage
..."Miles to go before we sleep!"
